Industry Leaders
With over 40 years of refining expertise, we’ve built a reputation as trusted pioneers in post-cremation metal recycling.
Fully Compliant
Our processes meet and exceed all environmental and industry regulations, ensuring safe and responsible handling every time.
Manage All EPA Responsibilities
We take care of every detail of EPA compliance, from collection to final reporting, so your facility stays protected and worry-free.
Federal and State EPA agencies regard cremation scrap as hazardous waste (heavy metals)
Mandatory recycling and waste management protocols for the proper disposal or dental implants, pacemaker and other implants found post-cremation must be adhered to by any crematory, funeral parlor, mortuary or business offering cremation services.

As a recognized EPA and OSHA compliant refinery, we’re an industry leader in implant and dental alloy recycling. Fully versed in Environmental Law, the owner and founder of PMRS is an appointed member of the EPA Task Force on Recycling for Region 5.
We recycle all post-cremation metals in an ethical, EPA compliant manner. Additionally, all waste management forms and manifest are prepared and submitted to the EPA by our expert and trained staff on your behalf.

Harvesting Precious Metals
We start by melting your material in one of our induction furnaces while also adding the appropriate custom blended flux to remove impurities.
Then we thoroughly mix the molten material to insure a uniform sample, lift out the crucible, and pour the liquid metal into a mold – creating a solid bar for testing.
To assess the content of your scraps, we use fire assay and Atomic Absorption – viewed as the most accurate means of determining gold and silver content — up to 1 part in 10,000 on gold.
Frequently
Asked Questions
We accept non-combustible medical and dental metals, including surgical implants, dental alloys/implants, and pacemakers. Every item is checked in, photographed, weighed, sorted, and processed under video surveillance.
Once your materials arrive, they are weighed and photographed. Then our certified technicians analyze the alloys using precise methods like fire assay and atomic absorption to determine purity. The resulting value is calculated based upon current market prices, usually referencing standards such as the “2nd London Fix.”
After analysis, testing and assay are complete, a settlement is prepared. You’ll receive a detailed report of the weight, assay results, and then the computed value. Once everything is confirmed, your payment is disbursed based on your pre-specified method.
